Another nice one

Overall this song has so many great qualities. I like the overall tone of this song, it really pleases me. Despite the euphonic voices, there are some awkward beats and rythem to you entrances, also regarding the entrances, there are some cords that sound a bit... absent. lol dont know how that works. It really takes off after the voices enter though, Great job. I really apprieciate your work!

MaestroRage responds:

I'm glad you feel that way. You know, entrances have always been a problem for me. Like writing a book, I could never really think of the perfect opening. To be honest, the part where the voices hops in, was the beginning of the project! I really liked how it was going, but couldn't just lay it on thick like that. So I made the intro at the end, and I just didn't know how to best portray it. I'm rather satasfied with this opening don't get me wrong, but it could be far better.

Thank you again for the review, i'm glad you liked it ^^.

Very relaxing

First off, nice job on the piece! You may be wondering why you only got a 7... well I feel that there wasn't a very "present" melody. Nice theme with the piano harmony but there just wasn't a dominating/ reoccuring melody that should be present in this kind of a piece. The switch between the "happy" and the "sad" is a bit abrupt to my ears. This is a very consonant piece which makes it very relaxing. Hope you find this review helpful!

PianoFortress responds:

I don't care much about ratings...I'm happy if people listen to my music AND find the time to write a review. So thanks for your support ;)

Sunset

I feel like reviewing this piece because I've just reviewed a song with the theme of sunrise... lol. I love this songs very mellow harmony, but it lacks a supporting melody. This harmony is very independent, the melody that comes in kind of sound awkward for the harmony. This is to my ears only, maybe you could try this harmony with another independent harmony. The melody can be seperate from the harmony so you dont have a huge layer of awkward sound.

MaestroRage responds:

you are right to bring up many of these points. This song, lacks many things. During this stage of my life, I used to be obsessed with layering counter melodies on top of each other, as a result I would use the same segments of notes again and again, building on top, taking away, and adding new things. As a result, transitions became awkward and difficult to handle as the listener gets too used to something.

Notice in this song, I am using the exact same guitar riff throughout. There is one part where it takes a rest, but briefely.

I do appreciate the review, I am glad you liked it, though it has flaws, it is still one of my favorites for personal reasons!

Thanks again.

Intense

This song brought me out of my seat! This is a great song with a decent cliche "plot" behind it but the song was good. I love the piano dynamic in the beggining and when the precussions come in, I got a little jumpy. Fun song with a little sorrow, and a nice set of drums!

madboss responds:

Thanks a lot for these nice words. Well to be honest there is no piano in the beginning - they are marcato strings only they are a bit low quality and rather synth like than real strings.

I'm glad you liked the drums - I think they are a bit out from the song in they volume level thoug.

So thanks for the rev - I'M glad you liked this song.

Great song

I liked the song a lot but the poem was a little weak. Sorry for ur friend, but good job MRage.

MaestroRage responds:

it was a challenge to take real words, and build something from it! Me and him are good friends and I asked him if he wanted an anthem of sorts. He told me he enjoyed music, but knew little about it, so could give me little concering what he'd like in the piece.

he had this poem on his profile, and suggested I turn that into a piece, and the race was on!

I appreciate the review TsizzinC, i'm glad you liked it ^^.

Great Arrangement!

Dude your like my favorite artist of all time, this arrangement is very nicely put together! Keep up the good work!

MilkMan-Dan responds:

It means a lot to me that I'd be your favorite artist.
